Job description

Certified Surgical Technologist

HealthCare Support is actively seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to fill an opening with a nationally recognized healthcare organization in Houston, TX .

Daily Responsibilities for Certified Surgical Technologist :

Collaborate with Registered Nurses to provide care for surgical patients in the OR suite
Prepare instruments and equipment for each surgical procedure
Scrub in on surgical cases to assist the surgeon and maintain a sterile environment
Assist with operating room turnover and proper decontamination of instruments
Contribute to the orientation and training of new surgical technicians
Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development principles as they relate to infants, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
Shift : Monday through Friday 6 : 30AM – 3 : 30PM

Required Qualifications for Certified Surgical Technologist :

Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program

Current Surgical Tech Registration in the state of Texas

Current AHA BLS Certification

Preferred Qualifications for Certified Surgical Technologist :

Prior surgical tech experience in orthopedics, general surgery, GYN, urology, or ENT
