Start : As Soon As Possible

Pay Rate : $18–21.79 / hr

Shift : 7 : 00 AM – 12 : 00 PM (some Saturdays required)

Job Summary :

The Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) represents the organization’s commitment to patient-centered care and diagnostic excellence. This role is responsible for drawing high-quality blood samples , preparing specimens for testing, and ensuring patients experience a safe and positive collection process. The PSR II works both independently and as part of a team to uphold accuracy, compliance, and superior customer service in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities :

Perform daily phlebotomy and specimen processing tasks accurately and on schedule.

Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment at all times.

Follow established procedures for both clinical and forensic specimen collection.

Verify and document patient demographic information and specimen labeling accuracy.

Maintain required records and ensure compliance with laboratory and company policies.

Demonstrate strong customer service and patient interaction skills .

Support multiple locations when necessary and adapt to changing schedules or business needs.

Required Experience :

Three (3) years of phlebotomy experience , including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.

Minimum two (2) years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.

Experience in customer service (retail or healthcare).

Data entry or keyboarding experience.

Nice-to-Have Experience :

Previous experience in a hospital or diagnostic laboratory setting .

Training or certification as a Medical Assistant, Paramedic, or Phlebotomist .

Knowledge of specimen processing and chain-of-custody documentation.

Required Skills :

Exceptional phlebotomy technique across patient populations.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

High attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.

Preferred Skills :

Reliability, punctuality, and professional demeanor.

Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Comfortable working weekends or flexible hours when required.

Additional Skills :

Commitment to confidentiality and compliance with all safety and quality standards.

Strong customer focus and willingness to support multiple sites as needed.
