Position Overview :
Loenbro Equipment is seeking an experienced and motivated maintenance manager for our growing team. Loenbro has a collaborative mentality and the drive to continuously improve which is what sets the Loenbro team at the top of the industry.
This position will oversee the maintenance and repair operations for multiple geographic areas. This position will also oversee the duties of the mechanics and shop employees involved in inspecting, repairing, fabricating, rebuilding, and maintaining both light and heavy-duty equipment.
Job Duties :
- Maintain safe, clean, organized, and professional shop and office environments.
- Ensure compliance with all Loenbro and customer safety requirements for all shop operations and field mechanics, including :
Daily safety meetings, Job Hazard Analysis reviews, and near-miss tracking.
Communicate and work with production employees to meet the maintenance, repair and DOT compliance needs of the fleet. Ensure timely response and resolution time of fleet and operational needs.Coordinate, review and schedule in-house repairs (both shop and field) and vendor repairs.Coordinate and schedule preventative maintenance activities, including :Regular inspections, standard service intervals, and warranty or recall updates.
Coordinate and maintain telematics systems with equipment controllerReview automated fault codes and dispatch solutions as necessaryCoordinate recalls, TSB's and warranty work.Coordinate and schedule accident and an emergency responseUse repair, rebuild and replace matrix to determine repair decisionsTrack and respond to FMCSA inspections and SMS systemCollect equipment inspections from the operations and prioritize work orders to resolve inspection related issuesAssist equipment controller with the coordination and scheduling of a winter maintenance program and other budgetary reviewsEnsure a sufficient parts and fluids inventory is maintained in the shopsOversee and schedule training program for mechanics in all phases of work including :Safety, operation of equipment, use of tools and methods or procedures of work.
Provide annual and as-needed, interim reviews for mechanics and shop employeesCoordinate interviews, hiring and terminating mechanics and shop employees with equipment controller and production employeesComply with annual, regional budget for shop and field mechanic operationsInvestigate and follow the equipment damage procedureProvide mechanical support, as needed, for mechanics and shop personnelAssist in the analysis of purchase and retirement of units in the equipment fleetEnsure mechanics and shop employees comply with their dutiesPerform root cause analysis on repairs and incidentsOperate and maintain electronic Work Order System (E360)Attend meetings and classes as identified by Loenbro management and safety teamsSubmit receipts for material purchases and vendor services within 3 days of the expense. Approve expense transactions within 3 days of the expense posting to accounting systemProcess Mechanic's PayrollPerform all other duties as assigned by the equipment controller in a safe and efficient mannerMeet with vendors and explore improvements to the maintenance programsPerform other duties as assignedSkills / Qualifications :
Experience and considerable knowledge of the methods, materials, and equipment used in the maintenance and repair of various types of heavy equipment and other power-driven equipment and toolsExperience with occupational hazards and safety precautions of the tradeKnowledgeable in the operation of a variety of tools and equipment used in the repair of trucks and heavy equipmentAbility to prepare and maintain accurate records and reportsAbility to understand and carry out complex oral and written instructionsAbility to work independently of oversight on maintenance or repairs of all Loenbro equipmentAbility to analyze and repair mechanical failuresAbility to work effectively to establish good working relationships with other employees.Strong Microsoft and computer skillsAbility and willingness to travel or work extra hours when neededCommitted to Loenbro's core values and safety policiesAbility to work in all types of weather, and under various working conditionsFit and move in confined spaces including tanks and vesselsLimited working surfacesExposure to noise above 85 decibels and intense odorsLifting upto 50-75 poundsClimbing up and down stairs and ladders to both get in and out of trenches and up to elevated platforms (scaffolding at significant heights)The use of a respirator if required by projectsIf driving is required, a valid driver's license and proof of insurability is required. All drivers are subject to a DMV background records searchA CDL including an air brake endorsement preferredPotential or Periodic amounts of time for the following :Walking on uneven terrain, with an average of 2 miles per day
