Staff Accountant
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. This is a contract-to-hire position, offering the opportunity to transition into a long-term role based on performance. The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting skills and a solid understanding of financial principles, with experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and journal entries. This role requires working fully onsite, with flexibility in scheduling.
Responsibilities :
- Manage and process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and post journal entries to maintain an up-to-date and accurate general ledger.
- Oversee full-cycle payroll processing, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and deadlines.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of corporate tax returns and sales tax documentation.
- Reconcile financial statements and accounts on a regular basis to ensure accuracy.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including financial reporting.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with internal teams to address financial discrepancies and resolve issues.
- Perform audits and reviews to verify data integrity and fiscal accountability.
Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.At least 3 years of experience in accounting with a focus on detail and accuracy.Proficiency in managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions.Strong knowledge of journal entries and general ledger maintenance.Experience with corporate tax return preparation and sales tax filings.Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a team environment.Solid understanding of accounting principles and applicable regulations.Robert Half works to put you in the best position to succeed.
