Job Summary:
Our client, a leading MEP consulting firm with multiple locations in Texas, is seeking a Licensed Electrical Engineer to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in electrical building design, strong Revit skills, and a passion for innovative and efficient design solutions. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects across commercial, healthcare, institutional, and mixed-use sectors while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and engineer electrical systems for commercial and institutional buildings, including power distribution, lighting, and fire alarm systems.
• Utilize Revit for electrical design, coordination, and documentation.
• Perform load calculations, short circuit analysis, and other engineering assessments.
• Collaborate with mechanical, plumbing, and structural engineers to ensure seamless integration of building systems.
• Prepare and review construction documents, technical specifications, and reports.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and local municipalities to ensure compliance with codes and project requirements.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers and contribute to team development.
Qualifications:
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required (State of Texas preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering for building design.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD for MEP design.
• Strong understanding of NEC codes, local building codes, and energy efficiency standards.
• Experience with power distribution, lighting control systems, and fire alarm design.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills to interact with clients and project stakeholders.
