The African American Diabetes Association is seeking volunteers with experience in social media creation and management (beyond personal social pages) for our AADA website and social media platforms. People interested in this role should have bold, creative and outgoing personalities. Additionally, this role is great for people who are looking to build their resume; engage in great, new experiences; help African American diabetics with their complications; and / or learn more about diabetes and its impact and comorbidities. Knowledge and understanding of technology issues affecting not-for-profit organizations is preferred. We are looking for dynamic volunteers to create a strategic plan for marketing and engagement and subsequently facilitate regular social media interactions across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter(X), Tik Tok and LinkedIn.
The Social Media Coordinator will manage conversations and touch points that occur with our social media followers and donors across all channels, with the goal of facilitating growth, awareness, funds, and retention.
