A leading chemical manufacturing facility in Greenville, OH is seeking a skilled Electrical / Instrumentation Engineer to oversee and enhance the reliability of its electrical infrastructure and process instrumentation. This role plays a key part in maintaining safe operations, driving automation improvements, and leading capital projects across the site.
Your Role & Responsibilities :
- Ensure safe and reliable operation of electrical systems including switchgear, distribution panels, and lighting, while maintaining compliance with arc flash standards.
- Interpret P&IDs, engineering drawings, and technical documentation to support efficient repairs and maintain accurate records.
- Manage spare parts inventory and ensure documentation is up to date for all electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Contribute to capital projects by preparing bid packages, construction documentation, and specifications for new installations.
- Support automation initiatives by applying expertise in DCS, PLCs, and VFDs to reduce variability and improve process control.
- Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, suppliers, and procurement to align on technical goals and project execution.
- Utilize SAP for maintenance and procurement workflows, and Microsoft Office and MS Project for planning, reporting, and communication.
- Mentor site instrument technicians, providing technical guidance and supporting their professional development.
What You Bring :
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.Strong knowledge of electrical distribution systems, instrumentation, and automation technologies.Proficiency in SAP, MS Project, and Microsoft Office tools.Experience working in a Process Safety Management (PSM) environment.Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and collaborate across teams.Ability to manage non-routine and emergency situations including shutdowns, startups, and commissioning.
