Manager, Fixed Asset and Lease Accounting

Key Responsibilities : What You’ll Tackle

  • Manage the full lifecycle of fixed assets and lease accounting — from acquisition to disposal.
  • Ensure compliance with ASC 842 lease accounting standards.
  • Reconcile, track, and report on all company-owned and leased equipment.
  • Prepare accurate audit schedules and support internal / external audits.
  • Monitor expenditures to ensure they align with approved budgets.
  • Partner with departments across the business to strengthen controls and streamline asset-related processes.
  • Mentor and develop accounting team members.
  • Drive system enhancements and identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis to support business decisions.

Bring Your Best to the Table

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 5+ years of hands‑on experience in fixed asset and lease accounting (transportation, supply chain, or manufacturing experience a big plus).
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, audit processes, and financial systems.
  • Analytical mindset, with a knack for spotting issues before they become problems.
  • Proven leadership skills — you know how to motivate and manage.
  • Love for systems, details, and turning complex data into actionable insights.

    Salary range (San Rafael, CA) :

  • Zone 1 : Starting rate $125,000; up to $150,000 for highly qualified candidates.
