Ophthalmology Physician Opportunity Near BRONX, NY

The Ideal Candidate :

• Clinical Experience : One to three years of ophthalmology clinical experience in an outpatient setting.
• Diagnostic Skills : Ability to diagnose and treat the whole range of glaucoma and general eye conditions, aiming for improved patient outcomes.
• Competency : Demonstrate competency in diagnosis and treatment to assure high standards of patient care and safety.
• Patient-Centered Approach : Exhibit a patient-centered approach, fostering a positive patient experience.
• Communication Skills : Excellent communication skills.
• Interest in Population Health Management : Display an interest in population health management and value-based care.

Responsibilities :

Diagnose and treat a wide variety of eye disorders with a concentration on glaucoma.

Perform routine eye exams and treat eye diseases, such as macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, cataracts, and glaucoma.

Perform office-based procedures and weekly outpatient surgical procedures, including :

Laser iridotomies, capsulotomies, and selective laser trabeculoplasties.

Recommend suitable management for the patient, including preventive health recommendations and habits.

Collaborate with primary care providers and internal and external optometrists and ophthalmologists.

Collect and record patient information, maintaining complete and accurate medical records.

Participate in medical staff educational programs and meetings.
