About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President for Accounting Analytics with a strong background in financial analytics, reporting, and FP&A, particularly within the life and annuity (re)insurance industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for building a new, differentiated analytics capability within the finance organization, focusing on high-level analytical checks to validate reported results, explain financial movements, and act as a line of defense against errors. This role goes beyond traditional variance analysis, aiming to improve financial storytelling, accuracy, and decision-making. The VP will also lead the development of standardized performance reporting, drive management basis accounting reviews, and ensure the production of account-level insights through rigorous analytical controls.

Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with a CPA or CA designation strongly preferred. A minimum of 10 years' of experience in the relevant industry is required, along with deep knowledge of various accounting standards. The role demands proven expertise in data visualization and reporting tools, proficiency in ERP and financial systems, and experience in overseeing external vendors. The VP will be a strategic partner, championing the use of automation, data visualization, and interactive dashboards to modernize workflows. Collaboration with FP&A, actuarial, and business partners is essential to ensure consistency in reporting and narrative storytelling. The position also involves team leadership, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence, and ensuring transparency and audit readiness through standardized processes and documented controls.
