Our Kids After Hours Nurse Practitioner (PRN)

Description

Key Responsibilities :

• Provide after-hours coverage which includes at a minimum 8 shifts per month, some of which are required to be weekends. [weekday shifts : 5p-8a, weekend / holiday shifts : 8a-8p and 8p-8a].
• Triage incoming calls from community partners (DCS, LE, medical providers).
• Provide acute forensic medical evaluations when indicated at the Our Kids Center or Vanderbilt Pediatric Emergency Department.
• Perform forensic medical evaluations on children and adolescents (birth to 15 years of age) with concerns of acute sexual abuse or assault as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Collaborate with law enforcement, Department of Children's Services, and other community partners during sexual abuse investigations.
• Write detailed reports and provide court testimony when required.
• Adapt interactions to meet the developmental, cultural, and special needs of each child and family.
