Department : Cath Lab

Sign On Bonus : $10,000 paid in full on your first paycheck!

Schedule : Full-time, days, 35 hours / week

Pay : Starting at $35.81 / hour, with daily pay options available!

Location : SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital - Madison, WI

Requirements : Completion of a Radiology program and ARRT-R or RCIS / CCI credential as a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist. Cross-training in the Cath Lab is available!

Relocation assistance : Available for qualified candidates.

Job Summary :

As a Cath Lab Technologist, you will play a vital role in assisting with procedures to analyze, diagnose, and treat cardiovascular conditions.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Prepare patients for procedures by reviewing medical histories and ensuring comfort.
  • Interpret and report test results while identifying recording errors and artifacts.
  • Monitor patient conditions pre-, during, and post-procedure, addressing any abnormal findings immediately.
  • Maintain and prepare equipment, supplies, and the lab environment.
  • Confirm proper equipment functionality and address any issues immediately.
  • Help maintain cleanliness and organization in the department.
  • Perform point-of-care testing in compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Work proactively and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Carry out other related duties as necessary.

    • Education :

  • Completion of a Cardiovascular or Radiology Technology program is required.

    • Experience :

  • No prior experience is necessary; we welcome new graduates!

    • Physical Requirements :

  • Standing and walking consistently throughout the day.
  • Frequent vision use for nearby and distant tasks.
  • Strong communication skills for verbal interactions and monitoring patient sounds.
  • Lifting and transporting items and patients, occasionally up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent use of computer for data entry and record-keeping.

    • Required Certifications :

    State-specific requirements apply, including :

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Radiologic Technologists certification from the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) or equivalent credentials for your state.
  • ARRT-R or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification.
