Mental Health Tech - Men's Outpatient Program (CDL and passenger endorsement required)

Turning Point Care Center has an opening for a full-time Patient Tech / Mental Health Tech (MHT). MHTs play a vital role in providing excellent care for our patients and are a member of the interdisciplinary team who assists in total client care through implementation of appropriate therapeutic approaches.

• Provides direct patient care that includes providing transportation, monitoring patients and self-help groups, and facilitating program activities.
• Maintains a safe, therapeutic environment.
• Maintains accurate and complete data and records.
• Communicates therapeutically and age appropriately.
• Intervenes with suicidal gestures, inappropriate behaviors, elopements, etc., using proper CPI technique.
• Therapeutically communicates with patients. Assists in developing appropriate boundaries and helps to develop social skills.
• Directs / redirects behaviors, demonstrating appropriate behavioral consequences. Responds appropriately to impulsivity issues as they relate to age specific criteria.
• Recognizes and communicates the physical and psychological status of the patients under their care.

This position's hours and days may vary. The potential schedule is Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 10 : 00am to 6 : 30pm and Tuesday and Thursday 12 : 00pm to 8 : 30pm.
