Overview

Managing Director, Institutional Fundraising (Northeast) at Star Mountain Capital. Location : Lowell, MA. Salary : $170,000.00-$240,000.00. 1 week ago

Responsibilities

  • Proactively develop and manage relationships with sophisticated institutional clients, such as pension funds, endowments, foundations, family offices, and insurance companies.
  • Work with a diverse set of institutional clients to uncover needs for private market exposures, and share insight regarding private equity and private credit both in primary and secondary markets.
  • Develop and maintain dynamic client pipelines through the use of CRM tools and follow-up efforts in coordination with various members of the Star Mountain team.
  • Lead Star Mountain’s attendance at industry events and conferences, seeking opportunities to drive value from attendance through side meetings, speaking engagements, and compelling follow-up activities.
  • Research and provide the internal team with regular updates on current and prospective clients.
  • Maintain flexibility with changing projects and fluctuating deadlines.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience within investor relations, ideally within private credit, private equity, secondaries, or other alternative assets.
  • Strong list of relationships focused on the East Coast and a demonstrated track record of developing deep trust in business development.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage multiple technology platforms to capture prospect information, manage a dynamic pipeline, and collaborate with teammates.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Willingness to work hard in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment building a unique organization.
  • Ability to work independently with strong follow-through skills and the proactive anticipation of investor needs.
  • Flexibility to manage multiple changing priorities; resourcefulness in executing projects.
  • Strong interpersonal and professional communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-energy, team-oriented environment.
