Assignment Type : Travel Nursing – Emergency Room Registered Nurse Department : Emergency Room (ER) – Level II Trauma Center Duration : 13-week travel contract Shift : 12 Hour Days (10 : 45 AM – 11 : 15 PM) Hours per Week : 36 Number of Beds : 101 Patient Ratios : 4 : 1 (medical), up to 7 : 1 (ED behavioral holds) Scheduling : Every other weekend required; flexible scheduling to meet department needs Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, including at least 1 year as an ER RN Experience in Level II trauma centers and high-volume emergency departments (100,000 visits / year) preferred Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or compact state Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire Strong teamwork skills and ability to provide real-time coaching and feedback Flexibility to work in all areas of the Emergency Department Professionalism, respectful behavior, and commitment to positive patient experiences Navy scrubs required ER Nurse Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care in a fast-paced emergency room setting Perform advanced nursing procedures and respond to trauma and stroke cases Utilize Baxter pumps, GE monitors, and document care using Cerner EMR system Collaborate with healthcare techs, unit clerks, and multidisciplinary teams Maintain accurate patient boards and communicate effectively with patients and families Follow department guidelines, policies, and attendance standards Float to all sections within the Emergency Department as needed Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and supportive healthcare team culture Ready to take your ER nursing career to the next level in Asheville, North Carolina?
