Underwriting
Bond & Specialty Insurance provides management and professional liability insurance, as well as surety bonds to businesses and non-profit organizations of all sizes. As an underwriter, you will have a dynamic role that blends evaluating and analyzing financial and business risk, building relationships, and selling and negotiating with clients, agents, and brokers. This role is part of the Private & Non-Profit Liability team which provides financial protection private and non-profit companies. Team members work in a fast-paced environment that analyzes complex data related to financial performance, industry and economic exposures, and risk management practices Coverages range from Directors and Officers Liability, Employment Practices Liability, Fiduciary Liability, CyberRisk, Kidnap and Ransom, Crime, and Identity Fraud Expense Reimbursement. The Managing Account Executive (MAE) will manage a team of underwriters, in partnership with the Managing Director, and partner with agents and brokers to provide insurance or surety solutions to customers. An MAE will analyze and evaluate risk to achieve business goals within an their individual and teams assigned book of business. As a MAE, you are decisive, detail-oriented, and know how to build relationships internally and externally and negotiate terms to drive results. Your ability to independently assess complex risk and sell our products in challenging markets will contribute to the profitability and success of Travelers.
The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.
