Job Description : Registered Nurse - Stepdown ICU

Location : Orangeburg, SC 29118

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Night 3x12-Hour (18 : 45 - 07 : 15) / Weekend Coverage : Every other weekend

Job Requirements :

  • Experience :

    • 1 year of RN experience required; 2 years preferred

  • Charge Nurse experience preferred
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • Telemetry competency and Cardiac Telemetry experience required
  • Certifications :

    • Required :

    BLS (Basic Life Support)

  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
  • Preferred :

    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention)
  • Skills :

    • IV therapy, Phlebotomy

  • Blood product administration, PICC line management
  • Titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration experience required)
  • Ability to care for ventilated patients, manage chest tubes, and administer high flow oxygen
  • Additional Requirements :

    • Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs

  • Must have an active South Carolina RN license (or Compact License) prior to starting
  • Local candidates will be considered at 10% below the posted bill rate
  • Hurricane season : Awareness that all employees may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June-November)
