Job Description and Duties

The Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR) could be the place for you! DPR is seeking an energetic and motivated Information Technology Specialist I for our Information Technology Branch team.
The Information Technology Specialist I (ITS I) is responsible for the configuration, development, administration, and maintenance of the department's ServiceNow platform. The incumbent will utilize ServiceNow software development methodologies and best practices to conduct requirements analysis and system design while providing continued operation support for ServiceNow. The incumbent is responsible to develop and modify ServiceNow catalog items, flows, forms, workspace, lists, custom scripts, business rules, UI components. Work with functional and admin teams to deliver automated workflow solutions in ServiceNow. Collaborate with ServiceNow admins across the Agency to align initiatives and platform standards. Engage with internal stakeholders and IT staff to understand business requirements and translate it into functional specification. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for processes, configurations, workflows, solutions and ensure that best practices and ITIL frameworks are followed. Work across the IT Branch to improve the platform adoption and user experience of ServiceNow. Prepare and conduct training sessions for users on newly developed catalog items. Stay informed of industry trends and new platform enhancements.

Working Conditions
NOTE
This position may be eligible for hybrid telework under Government Code 14200 for eligible applicants residing in California, subject to the candidate meeting telework eligibility criteria set forth in the CalEPA telework policy and / or future program need. Employees not residing in California are not eligible for telework. Regardless of telework eligibility, all employees may be required to report to the position's designated headquarters location, as indicated on their duty statement, at their own expense.
