Material Handler
Responsibilities :
- Layout, position, align, and fit components into welding fixtures as instructed.
- Follow safety practices to ensure personal and co-worker safety.
- Assign inventory locations to parts and deliver job orders according to procedures.
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials.
- Inspect goods before routing them to departments or storage locations.
- Pick jobs and deliver parts to the appropriate departments.
- Notify relevant personnel of parts shortages, late orders, errors, or missing items.
- Complete daily paperwork and computer transactions for inventory movement.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and check them regularly.
- Perform cycle counts, troubleshoot errors, and move products along production lines.
- Manually lift and move boxes, totes, and containers up to 33 lbs.
- Perform 5S duties and maintain standards.
- Execute inventory paperwork and transactions as needed.
- Move within departments / plant as assigned.
Knowledge / Education :
High School diploma or GED required.Forklift certified or ability to successfully complete Epiroc approved forklift certification program.Solid math and counting skills with emphasis on consistency and accuracy.Excellent critical thinking, communication, problem solving skills and interpersonal skillsSkills and Abilities :
Proven ability to operate forklifts safely.Basic computer skills, specifically with performing inventory transactions, required.Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.Ability to read and understand work order routings and instructions.Ability to assist production with assembly and machine completions.Ameri-Force Benefits
