As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Sector's Cloud Platform , you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. Drive significant business impact through your capabilities and contributions, and apply deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to tackle a diverse of challenges that span multiple technologies and applications.

Job responsibilities

  • Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors
  • Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
  • Drives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes
  • Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus
  • Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software  Development Life Cycle
  • Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies
  • Adds to the team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
  • Hands-on practical experience in system design, AI full stack development, testing, and operational stability
  • Hands on experience with MLOps tools and practices, ensuring seamless integration of machine learning models into production environments.
  • Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with considerable experience in data modeling, machine learning, NLP, API etc.)
  • Use a range of different technologies and languages (such as Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React) to develop applications
  • Proficient in coding in Java based frameworks like Spring boot / Spring.
  • Able to design React UI components as per the business requirements.
  • Familiar with development tools such as Jenkins, GIT / Bitbucket, Jira, etc.
  • Understanding of technologies such as Micro services, Containers, Oracle DB, SQL, NoSQL, Splunk, Dynatrace, Pivotal Cloud Foundry.
  • Formal training or certification on applied AIML concepts and applied experience.
  • Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
  • Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Exposure to working with LLM application and building the necessary models using RAG.
  • Understanding of the Application Observability
  • SRE concepts like SLI & SLO and Error budget.
  • Exposure to PromQL is an added advantage.
  • Experience with APIGEE API management system.
