Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Family Law Paralegal to join our team and support attorneys in handling a wide range of family law matters. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working directly with clients while managing complex case files in a fast-paced environment.

Job Description:

• Draft, review, and file pleadings, discovery, financial disclosures, and other legal documents in family law cases
• Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings, mediations, and trials, including organizing exhibits and evidence
• Maintain and organize case files, ensuring deadlines are tracked and met
• Communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel in a professional and timely manner
• Conduct factual research and gather supporting documentation for case preparation
• Support attorneys with high-conflict custody matters, spousal support, and complex property division cases

Qualifications:

• Strong background in family law with experience supporting attorneys in contested custody and asset division matters
• Active knowledge of California family law procedures, court rules, and filings
• Proficiency with legal software and case management systems
• Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment while collaborating effectively with attorneys and staff
• Commitment to meeting a 1650 billable hour requirement annually
