Payroll Specialist

Salary : $65,000-$80,000
Our client is a rapidly growing organization that provides payroll services to more than 300 clients across the country and a variety of industries. With a focus on accuracy, compliance, and outstanding customer service, they are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join their team. This role will play a key part in delivering smooth, reliable payroll processing for a diverse client base.
Key Responsibilities of the Payroll Specialist :
Accurately process payroll for multiple clients across various industries while adhering to federal, state, and local regulations.
The Payroll Specialist will maintain payroll data and records, manage deductions, and ensure timely and accurate tax filings.
Respond to client and employee payroll inquiries, troubleshooting and resolving discrepancies quickly.
Monitor payroll legislation and compliance updates to ensure best practices.
The Payroll Specialist will work closely with HR, accounting, and finance teams to optimize payroll processes.
Support year-end payroll functions, including preparing W-2s, 1099s, and related reports.
Qualifications for the Payroll Specialist :
3+ years of payroll processing experience (multi-client or multi-state experience strongly preferred).
Solid knowledge of wage and hour laws, payroll tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to spot and correct payroll errors.
Strong communication and customer service skills to effectively support clients.
