MFG HPWS Sanitation Associate 3rd Shift (10pm-6 : 30am)
Job Summary :
Responsible for the rebuilds and PM’s on all the pumps and valves in the facility. Responsible for equipment in the C.I.P. room and must be able to operate the C.I.P. circuits and have a good knowledge of how it works. Responsible for ensuring pumps and valves associated with tanks are clean.
Essential Job Functions :
- Inspect, rebuild, perform PM’s and maintain all valves and pumps in facility on routine basis as directed by leadership.
- Maintain records of inspections on equipment as well as any replacement parts used.
- Work with maintenance on pump repair and perform pump rebuilds.
- Perform “non-routine” washes on equipment as needed. (Such as Acid washes)
- Work with all C.I.P. circuits, including maintenance of chemical related pumps and valves.
- Monitor chemical inventory and usage.
- Perform concentration checks on C.I.P. washes.
- Disassembles, cleans, sanitizes and reassembles all air blow assemblies.
- Inspect injection cabinet in the C.I.P. room for leaks daily.
- Inspect C.I.P. systems for leaking gaskets or pump seals daily.
- Transfer bulk products to the C.I.P. day tanks to ensure pumps are operating daily as needed.
- Inspect dispensing area in the case room for leaks daily.
- Fulfills all assignments as given by Master sanitation schedule.
- Performs all other duties as assigned by leadership.
Degree of Responsibility Exercised in Position :
The efficient completion of sanitation to pumps and valves are vital to the entire Quality and Sanitation programs at the plant.Failure to successfully perform this job could lead to Product recalls and to the ultimate closing of the facility by regulatory agencies.Both of these areas would greatly impact the profitability and the livelihood of the entire plant and organization.Education, Prior Work Experience, Specialized Skills and Knowledge :
A very good understanding of the dairy production process and C.I.P. circuits.Very strong rational thinking / problem solving skills are essential.Ability to perform tests on chemical concentrations, using Lab equipment, successfully recording this information and to understand what the test results mean in the day-to-day operation of the plant.A strong mechanical background would be helpful.Must be able to read, write, add, subtract, multiply and divide.Must be able to perform basic mathematical computations.Must be able to accurately record data, on charts and chemical report forms.Must be able to interact and function effectively with others.The above job description is not necessarily all-inclusive of expected responsibilities. Essential Physical Elements :
Stand / walk up to 12 hours.Ability to repeatedly lift up to 30 lbs. With a total weight lifted per shift being 2,000lbs.Must have the ability to climb ladders and stairs in order to reach all C.I.P. areas of the plant.Repeated stooping and bending 95% of the shift.Subject to temperature variations from 35 to 90 degrees F.Medium hand / eye coordination.The above ranges and figures are considered an average approximation. During peak times and under special circumstances, slight increases in these figures should be expected.

Follow all departmental Good Manufacturing Practices : no candy or gum allowed in the production area; hairnets and beard nets (if applicable) must be worn in all production areas; no false eyelashes, false finger nails, finger nail polish, or heavy makeup; no jewelry of any kind; no eating in production areas; CFD (clean) uniforms must be worn.
Will follow established programs, policies and practices to produce safe quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements.Will be accountable to the Kroger Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles.Will support the development, implementation, maintenance and ongoing improvement of the SQF 2000 Systems.Back up to the Sanitation Utility person in the SQF process is the Sanitation GRL.Reliability :
Must monitor and report performance of equipment to GRL.Must participate in and contribute to problem solving teams.Assist or perform PMs to the level to which training has been completed.About Centennial Farms Dairy :
