Every other weekend availability required

Experience in skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting required

Description :

Long-term care skilled nursing RN with 1 year of experience required.

Every other weekend availability is required.

BLS certification is required.

Skills required include experience in nursing homes, skilled or rehabilitation centers.

Ability to perform foley catheter insertion and care, insulin administration, and IV therapy / medication management.

Experience in assessing neurological status, performing dressing changes, and conducting skin / wound assessments.

Familiarity with wound vacs, JP drains, colostomy care, and end-of-life / palliative care is essential.

Experience with COVID care and using CPAP and BiPAP machines is necessary.

Ability to operate Hoyer lifts and perform diabetes monitoring is required.

Patient population includes individuals with multiple comorbidities and those with acute medical care needs.

Solid color scrubs are required.

Additional skills required include accurate patient identification, admission procedures, advanced directives, and care for patients with dementia and other chronic illnesses.

Must be proficient in medication administration and monitoring.

Experience with emergency procedures and infection control is essential.

Candidates should have a strong understanding of patient safety goals and fall risk assessments.

Ability to manage various types of treatments and care plans for patients is necessary.

Additional responsibilities include patient and family teaching and management of assistive devices.

Candidates must demonstrate effective communication skills and a commitment to patient care.
