About the School of City & Regional Planning at the Georgia Institute of Technology

The School of City and Regional Planning is a global leader in fostering sustainable, resilient, and just communities, and is consistently ranked within the top-ten planning schools in North America by Planetizen. Job Summary

Faculty Position in City and Regional Planning

The School of City and Regional Planning (planning.gatech.edu) at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia invites applications for a non-tenure-track faculty position in sustainability and planning for the 2025-26 academic year. This is a full-time, non-tenure-track Lecturer position housed in the School of City and Regional Planning which is evaluated annually for reappointment pending budgetary considerations. Applicants will be considered at all ranks. Individuals with professional experience in sustainable land use, climate policy, environmental energy and society, alternative climate policy analysis frameworks, alternative energy structures, climate theory, sustainable urban development, and urban and regional planning are invited to apply. Candidates are expected to demonstrate an exceptional commitment to the teaching and mentoring of students.

  • Graduate degree in Sustainability Management or a related field
  • 6 years full-time experience
  • This position vacancy is an open rank announcement.     Preferred Qualifications

    Preferred qualifications :

  • Doctoral degree in Educational Technology and Sustainability
  • At least 2 years full-time (or 5 years part-time) relevant experience teaching courses in sustainable land use, climate policy, city planning, and energy, the environment, and society.
  • The ability to adopt teaching strategies that support the learning and success of all students
