RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide strategic oversight and leadership for all field operations across multiple states and operating companies within the Kinsley Steel Group.
- Manage and mentor the Northeast and Southeast Field Operations Managers and their General Superintendent teams to ensure safe, efficient, and quality execution of field work.
- Drive adherence to company safety programs and compliance with AISC, AWS, PCI, NCCO, OSHA, SDI, SJI, and other applicable construction standards and regulations.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee planning and execution of manpower and equipment resources across all regions to maximize utilization and minimize downtime or rework.
- Collaborate closely with Project Management, Fabrication, and Quality Control departments to ensure smooth project handoffs, accurate schedules, and consistent delivery standards.
- Champion continuous improvement through field performance analytics, standardization of best practices, and implementation of innovative installation methods or technologies.
- Lead the expansion and administration of the Ironworker Apprenticeship and Talent Development Program to build a sustainable pipeline of skilled field talent.
- Oversee crane operations, including compliance, training, certification, and equipment logistics.
- Participate in annual business planning, budgeting, and operational forecasting for all Field Operations.
- Represent the company professionally in client, partner, and industry interactions.
- Regularly travel to jobsites and regional offices to ensure operational consistency, performance accountability, and employee engagement.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent field leadership experience considered.Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership experience in structural steel erection or heavy construction, with direct experience managing large field teams.Strong working knowledge of AISC, AWS, PCI, NCCO, and OSHA standards.Demonstrated success in managing regional field operations, resource planning, and project execution.Proven ability to lead through influence, develop talent, and foster a culture of safety and accountability.Excellent organizational, budgeting, and communication skills.Proficiency in project management systems, scheduling software, and field productivity tracking tools.Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout the East Coast operational footprint.Equal Opportunity Employer : All qualified applicants are encouraged to apply.
