About the Opportunity :

The Tool Setter performs basic machining processes and learn more complex processes. This position focuses on new tool setter technology and RFID communications.

Location : Stuart, Florida - Onsite 2

Shift Monday to Thursday 3 : 00 PM to 1 : 00 AM.

Responsibilities :

Lay out tools for all manual, CNC, or EDM machines to perform completely and independently specific operations as outlined in the methods and process sheets.

• Changes, sets, and adjusts precision tools as required.
• Loads and deletes programs in the computer.
• Makes minor adjustments of feeds and speeds on the assigned machine.
• Learn the machinability of metals.
• Grinds own cutting tools and drills (other than special purpose tools).
• Maintains specific tolerances and accurately performs dimensions.
• Checks parts using specified gages or furnished fixtures to ensure dimensions are maintained.
• Performs routine maintenance checks and reports improper machine function.
• Communication of damaged tools to machinist for review.
• Maintains a neat and orderly work area.
• Follows all applicable safety rules and precautions.
• Assists with related training of other employees as needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
