Job descriptionProvide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols and site-specific guidelines. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential security-related concerns. Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel. Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points in the retail environment. Support loss prevention efforts by being visible and attentive during patrols and interactions. Maintain detailed and accurate records of activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and client protocols. Collaborate with store management and staff to address security-related concerns and provide a welcoming atmosphere for customers. Customer service experience is preferred. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Security Officer - Mall Patrol Specialist
As a Security Officer - Mall Patrol Specialist in Salem, OR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more. As an unarmed patrol professional with Allied Universal, you will actively monitor and patrol retail locations to help to deter security-related incidents and create a welcoming atmosphere for visitors and staff. Your presence and commitment to exceptional customer service will contribute to a positive environment, while you communicate clearly and respond to situations as they arise.
