As a Security Guard - Campus Patrol - Full Time in Poughkeepsie, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will actively monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and create a welcoming atmosphere for students, staff, and visitors. You will remain visible throughout the campus, provide exceptional customer service, and communicate with the campus community to address concerns. What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond appropriately to emergency situations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
  • Communicate with staff, students, and / or visitors to provide assistance and information as needed.
  • Document observations and incidents according to Allied Universal and client site protocols.
  • Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry onto the premises.
  • Work collaboratively with other Allied Universal personnel and location representatives to maintain a secure environment for all occupants.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
