Job Overview
River Point Dental is looking for a Registered Dental Assistant to assist our clinical team by providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team-based environment. Candidates must have prior dental assisting experience with dentures, partials & implants. Must be proficient with the iTero system, implant restorations and implant supported dentures. We are a small practice with one doctor. We are mainly fee for service.
Duties
- Schedule : Tuesday – Friday with two rotating Saturdays (9am - 2pm) a month.
- Assists the Doctor with dental functions as well as the preparation / clean up of treatment areas.
- Prepares work areas to include stocking, setting up, breaking down and cleaning / sterilizing as needed, verifying lab cases are checked in and checked out for patients on the schedule, making sure proper tray is set up.
- Responsible for all dental supply orders.
- Seats patients and completes the scheduled treatment, as well as provides oral or written pre-operative and post-operative treatment instructions, updating Open Dental with new findings and next recommended treatment.
- Assisting in the Hygiene Department with x-rays, etc
- Take necessary X-rays prescribed by the doctor.
- Assists Doctor at chairside with four-handed dentistry, a variety of procedures and maintains Doctor's work schedule and patient flow between operatories, taking impressions per doctor’s recommendation.
- Maintains general dental office equipment including but not limited to the suction system, X-ray processor and all sterilization equipment
- Follows all company policies and procedures paying special attention to patient care and safety
- Educate children and parents on proper oral hygiene.
- Provides support if necessary to office personnel when primary responsibilities are completed such as setting and confirming appointments and / or filling schedule for all providers to meet their daily goals and checking in with the Doctor / Office Manager.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Dental Assistant are also expected to maintain office compliance and annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS : 3 – 5 years experience
CPR Certified
Invisalign iTero
Zoom Whitening System
High level of experience with dentures, partials & implants.
