JOB SUMMARY :
The Landlord Liaison and Special Programs Coordinator will be cultivating, building, and maintaining strong business relationships with Property Owners / Landlords that provide housing opportunities to Housing Choice Voucher program (HCV) participants; This position will also be responsible for overseeing the administration of the City of Corpus Christi’s Voucher (CCCV) program to ensure all applicable requirements of the grant are met.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Develop and maintain partnerships with landlords, property managers, and real estate professionals.Responsible for all communications with Landlords including but not limited to phone calls, correspondence, emails, internet, weekly / monthly briefings, and walk-ins.Educate landlords on HUD housing programs, including benefits, responsibilities, and compliance requirements.Provide ongoing support to landlords and tenants to resolve issues and ensure successful tenancies.Coordinate and lead monthly landlord outreach events, workshops, and informational sessions. Attend events pertinent to the community.Assist with the housing placement process in compliance with fair housing laws.Maintain accurate records of landlord contacts and all relevant paperwork.Collaborate with caseworkers to support housing stability.Represent CCHA at functions such as the Corpus Christi Apartment Association to network with landlords.Recruits and educates landlords about participation in the HCV voucher program, including conducting Landlord Briefings in compliance with the Administrative Plan.Oversees the administration of the City of Corpus Christ Voucher (CCCV) program to ensure all applicable requirements of the grant are met.Assists with developing, implementing and revising policies / procedures relevant to the City of Corpus Christi Voucher program (CCCV).Monitors overall compliance with the City of Corpus Christi Voucher (CCCV) program.Manages the waitlist for the Corpus Christi Voucher (CCCV) program and assists with coordination and conducting initial orientations.Completes initial eligibility, interims, and recertifications for program participants.Prepares and provides any required reports to the City of Corpus Christi for the CCCV program.Performs other duties as assigned.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES :
Associates degree in public administration, social work, business, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in real estate, property management, or community outreach may substitute for education.Strong knowledge of HUD regulations, the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) programs, fair housing laws, and landlord-tenant rights given high consideration.Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and housing management software.Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is required.Ability to utilize computer software such as Word, Word Perfect, Excel, Access etc.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES :

Must hold valid Texas Driver’s License along with satisfactory driving record. May operate CCHA vehicle while on CCHA businessMust obtain within nine (9) months of hire : HCVP Caseworker CertificationPREFERRED EXPERIENCE :
Experience working with vulnerable populations (e.g., individuals experiencing homelessness, low-income families).Bilingual or multilingual abilities a plus.Familiarity with local housing markets and community resources.
