About the Role
As an Infusion Nurse , you will deliver specialized infusion therapies, monitor patient progress, and educate patients and caregivers to ensure safe and effective care. Working under physician-directed plans of care, you'll collaborate closely with the broader clinical team to support optimal outcomes and patient satisfaction.
Core Responsibilities
- Initiate and manage nursing care plans in alignment with physician orders
- Administer IV therapies, manage central lines, and perform related clinical procedures
- Conduct ongoing patient assessments and respond to clinical changes
- Educate patients and caregivers to promote independence with care and therapy
- Document all services in real-time using mobile EMR tools
- Communicate with physicians, care teams, and caregivers to ensure care continuity
- Support discharge planning and communicate care summaries
- Adhere to clinical protocols, HIPAA regulations, and Corewood Care standards
- Participate in on-call rotation as needed
Qualifications
Required :
Active RN license in the state of MarylandCurrent CPR certification1 – 3 years of nursing experience (infusion preferred)Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insuranceBasic proficiency in mobile technology and EMR systemsPreferred :
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)1+ year of home health or infusion experiencePhysical and Safety Requirements
Lift up to 50 lbs (occasionally up to 75 lbs )Frequent walking, standing, kneeling, and maneuvering of medical equipmentUse of PPE in home settings with variable environmental conditionsPotential exposure to bodily fluids and household risksTravel
