Job Title : Warehouse Associate
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for the receiving, tagging, sorting, and pulling of all core. Primary duties include learning and following detailed work instructions, contributing to team effort, and accomplishing related duties outside of assigned priorities. The core responsibilities include using scanners to put conveyer core in appropriate bins, keeping receiving stations filled with core, breaking down core as needed, and identifying core properly. The associate must also operate a forklift to load and unload parts off trucks, use a tow motor to unload inbound trucks, identify and sort incoming product, store parts in designated locations, pull parts needed for production and ship to the main plant, enter data into and review information in CMS as needed, participate in various improvement activities, and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications include the ability to communicate courteously and effectively with coworkers, proficiency in CMS, the ability to work as a team member, the ability to obtain a forklift license, basic computer / data entry skills, the ability to stand all day, stoop, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs., a clean driving record for the past three years, and passing a DOT drug screen if assigned to drive a box truck. The candidate must also demonstrate a commitment to meeting production demands and quality requirements, understand customer requirements as they relate to their job function, identify and address potential non-conformances, and get to work on time with minimal absences. Working conditions include a moderate noise level and warehouse temperatures that may reach up to 90 degrees during summer months. Education / experience requirements include a high school diploma or GED and previous warehouse experience.
