Material Control Operator

We are seeking a dedicated Material Control Operator to accurately manage inventory information for material stock. You will monitor, organize, and maintain inventory of company products at multiple branch locations, working alongside a diverse team.

Responsibilities :

• Operate sit-down forklifts, order pickers, and side-loader forklifts.
• Conduct inventory control and cycle counting duties.
• Enter data for inventory into a computer and record data manually using a clipboard.
• Load and unload metal materials (raw materials) both manually and with a forklift.
• Complete material receiving activities for shipments between locations or direct from the mill.
• Coordinate movement of material from stock to processing to support production requirements.
• Operate material handling equipment as necessary to support movement of material.
• Perform accurate and timely data entry within the inventory management system regarding material movements.
• Prepare and maintain appropriate inventory identification tags.
• Complete material consolidation tasks, including supermarket.
• Identify material shortages and issues, and communicate to appropriate staff.
• Perform verification of scrap.
• Maintain a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail in all work.
• Assist the quality assurance team in activities related to credits.
• Perform equipment preventative maintenance and cleanup.

Work Environment :

This role is based in a large raw material supplier facility where materials are stored, cut, and shipped to customers. You will work in a fast-paced environment with over 60 employees on the floor. The work schedule is Monday-Thursday from 4am-2 : 30pm. The facility is located in Auburn, WA with a supportive and engaging workplace culture.

Job Type & Location :

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn, WA.

Pay and Benefits :

The pay range for this position is $21.70 - $21.70 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
