Job Summary :
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Planner with a strong background in machining and job shop environments. This individual will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating manufacturing workflows to meet customer demand, maximize efficiency, and ensure on-time delivery. The ideal candidate understands the complexities of job shop operations and has hands-on knowledge of machining processes and shop floor constraints.
Responsibilities :
- Develop, release, and manage work orders based on customer requirements, lead times, and capacity constraints.
 - Collaborate with production, engineering, and purchasing to ensure material and resource availability for scheduled jobs.
 - Translate engineering drawings and specifications into routings and manufacturing steps for machined components.
 - Monitor job progress and adjust schedules to address issues such as machine downtime, material delays, or labor shortages.
 - Coordinate with machinists and supervisors to prioritize jobs and resolve production bottlenecks.
 - Review customer orders and confirm delivery dates based on capacity and resource planning.
 - Maintain accurate production schedules and communicate updates to internal stakeholders.
 - Analyze shop performance metrics (e.g., on-time delivery, throughput, WIP) and suggest improvements.
 - Ensure that planning data in ERP / MRP systems is accurate and up to date.
 - Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on lead time reduction, productivity, and quality.
