Structural Designer

Join our growing Structural team as a Structural Designer. In this role you will work on various structural design projects with state and local transportation agencies. As a Designer you will perform engineering models, analysis and/or designs, and supporting calculations / documentation. You will also coordinate the drafting of project elements for various clients. Recent Graduates are encouraged to apply!

Location

This role will be located at any of our Pennsylvania offices - Pottsville, Allentown, King of Prussia, Pittsburgh, or Wilkes-Barre

The Impact You Will Have

• Collect and assimilate data andperform modeling, analysis and/or design calculations of project elements.
• Draw design details under direction of Project Managers.
• Compute quantities and demonstrate awareness of relationships to pay items.
• Organize calculations to be included in design files, following project standards.
• Coordinate drafting of an element.
• Perform field or site visits as needed.
• Develop knowledge of applicable codes and standards and use of applicable CADD and Microsoft software.

What You Will Need

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related discipline required.
• E.I.T (or desire to obtain P.E. in the future) preferred.
• Knowledgeable in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office products.
• Demonstrated ability to work and collaborate in a team environment on challenging projects.
• Willingness to be adaptable to office and field inspection tasks.
  
  • The position may include the need to perform Field Inspection and may require travel to project sites.
  
  
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written - e-mails, project memos, reports, etc.)
• Detailed, and organized individual who thrives in environments that are deadline driven.
