Job Summary :

The Registered Nurse in the Operating Room will provide skilled nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures within a Level II Trauma Center. Responsibilities include patient assessment, medication administration, and collaboration with the surgical team. The role requires flexibility to float between units based on need and participate in a call rotation.

Responsibilities :

• Provide skilled nursing care to patients in the operating room.
• Assist with patient assessment and preparation for surgery.
• Administer medications as prescribed.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes in condition.
• Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control protocols.
• Document patient care accurately and completely in the electronic medical record (EPIC).
• Float between units based on staffing needs.
• Participate in on-call shifts as required.
• Assist with room turnover and preparation for subsequent cases.
