International Friendships, Inc. (IFI) is a growing faith‑based organization dedicated to extending life‑changing hospitality and friendship to international college students through services such as airport pick‑ups, holiday hosting, temporary housing, conversation partnerships, and social events.

About the Role

The Content Specialist assists the IFI Columbus team in capturing, editing, and publishing stories and articles across media—including video, photographs, and interviews—to engage and provide value to our constituents. The position is part of the Central Ohio ministry team and requires the candidate to live in or near Columbus, OH.

Expected Work Schedule

Full‑ or part‑time, flexible schedule

Occasional evenings and / or weekends for specific events / projects

Attendance at several conferences each year, including IFI Staff Retreats

Pay Structure

Develop and manage a ministry partner team that supplies the necessary prayer and financial support to cover salary, benefits, and ministry expenses.

Training is provided to develop a team of ministry partners.

Pay range typically between $25,709 and $80,000 after the period of support development, based on experience and other factors.

Responsibilities

Interview individuals via email, phone, or in-person to gather content.

Compile notes from interviews into written articles.

Write content for IFI's e‑newsletters, social media, website, donation receipts, and more.

Update event registration forms.

Create video scripts, edit video, and take and edit photographs at events.

Search for high‑value content by reviewing IFI MPD e‑newsletters, attending presentations and meetings, and reading meeting notes.

Suggest content that should be shared, determining the appropriate medium and audience.

Format content for publication on e‑newsletters, letters, text messages, social media, and more.

Qualifications

Adherence to IFI's statement of faith, core values, and policies.

Faithful, loyal, and dedicated to IFI's mission to extend life‑changing hospitality and friendship to international students.

Well organized with attention to detail and ability to complete tasks independently.

Has a shepherd's heart for Internationals, a teachable and submissive spirit, and spiritual maturity.

Committed to sharing faith in personal relationships and investing deeply in students' lives.

Proficient with technology, including Microsoft Office and Google applications.

Education / Experience Preferred

Training, experience, or certification in creative writing.

Willingness to use / learn Canva and Adobe Creative Cloud apps, including, but not limited to, InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.

Experience in cross‑cultural ministry.
