The Division of Hematology and
Medical Oncology in collaboration with the Tisch Cancer Institute
and Head and Neck Cancer Institute, are seeking medical oncologists
with an interest head and neck medical oncology.
The Mount Sinai Health
System (MSHS) is an integrated health care system providing

Encompassing the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and eight
hospital campuses in the New York metropolitan area, as well as a
large, regional ambulatory footprint, Mount Sinai is
internationally acclaimed for its excellence in research, patient
care, and education across a range of specialties. The new Mount
Sinai Tisch Cancer Hospital, expected to open in 2027, will provide
state-of-the art facilities for providing outstanding cancer care.
The Tisch Cancer Institute is a P30-funded
NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center currently ranks 11 th
nationally in NCl funding, and 8 th nationwide in cancer care by
U.S. News and World Report. The Head and Neck Cancer Institute is
co-led by Eric Genden, MD, a renowned surgical oncologist, and
Richard Bakstt, MD, a radiation oncologist and physician
scientist.
The applicant would have
responsibility for oversight of patient care, clinical research,
training and education programs involving head and neck cancer, and
also thoracic medical oncology, in the Division of Hematology and
Medical Oncology. The applicant would be expected to become a
member of the Cancer Clinical Investigations (CCI) program, one of
4 Tisch Cancer Institute research programs, participate in the Head
& Neck Disease Focus and Thoracic Oncology Focus Groups (DFGs),
multidisciplinary committees that provides oversight of clinical
research in head and neck cancer.
