Senior Legal Counsel

Our client is a startup company in the bay area looking to add a senior legal counsel to their team. The role is ideal for someone with technical expertise and intellectual property experience who can provide strategic, business-oriented legal guidance across technology, IP, and commercial matters.

This is a high-visibility position that reports into their CLO. Responsibilities include the following :

• Serve as a key legal partner to the engineering team, providing proactive guidance on IP, data rights, technology licensing, and regulatory / commercial considerations.
• Draft, review, and negotiate technology-related agreements, including software, vendor, and partnership contracts.
• Advise on intellectual property strategy, licensing, and protection of proprietary technology.
• Collaborate with product and operations teams on risk mitigation and product development considerations.
• Support corporate governance, commercial transactions, employment, and other general legal matters as needed.

They are ideally looking for someone to come into their Mountain View office a few days weekly. They are open to seeing candidates who are willing to relocate.

The base pay range for this position is $190,000.00 / yr - $215,000.00 / yr.
