Department Information

As a Nursing Assistant (NA), your role is vital in providing exceptional care to our patients. You will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to assist with :

• Daily living activities like bathing, grooming, and eating
• Basic health care needs including emotional and spiritual support
• Collecting non-invasive biological specimens
• Maintaining and cleaning treatment areas and medical equipment
• Performing clerical work related to scheduling and patient documentation

This position requires working three 8-hour shifts per pay period, with commitments to every other weekend and holiday. Shift times vary between 7 am - 3 : 30 pm, 3 pm - 11 : 30 pm, or 11 pm - 7 : 30 am.

Qualifications

You will need to gain a basic understanding of patient care principles, medical terminology, and equipment specific to your area of service. Certification and registration with the Minnesota Board of Nursing Assistant Registry is required, with specific certifications mandated by law as applicable.
