CDL Truck Driver
Wieland is hiring a CDL Truck Driver. The CDL Truck Driver will be responsible for delivering our finished materials and / or picks up material, scrap, skids, to and from our local or out of state customers, suppliers and outside fabricators. This role is located in Carol Stream, IL and will be fully on-site.
Hourly Pay Range : $24-$26 per Hour
Work Schedule : 1st shift 7 : 30pm-4 : 00pm
Pay Schedule : Weekly

Responsibilities
CDL Truck Driver Responsibilities :
- Supervise the packaging and labeling of products by hourly personnel, consistently meeting customer needs
- As required by the D.O.T. a safety check of the tractor / trailer is performed prior to the delivery run (i.e., fluids, lights, tailgate, tires, etc.)
- Set up delivery route
- Supervise or help load the truck
- Check load with respect to trip documents (BOL, pack list etc)
- Deliver or pick up material
- Drive and deliver material to our local or out of state customers / suppliers, etc.
- Pick up supplies or material
- Fill out the daily traffic log
- Maintain a Commercial Driver's License with related classifications
- Report any truck maintenance or other issues real time.
- Perform applicable tasks other than listed above.
Qualifications
CDL Truck Driver Qualifications :
High School or EquivalentWith related Commercial Driver's License, obtained by passing written and practical skill testsClean driving recordClas A CDL LicenseMinimum 2 years experienceDriving Skills : This includes safe and defensive driving, good judgment, quick reflexes and the ability to handle the vehicle in various weather conditions.Navigation : Proficiency with GPS and strong navigational skills are essential for planning fastest and most efficient routes.Mechanical Knowledge : Ability to perform pre trip inspection and basic troubleshooting is vital for safety and maintenance.Time Management : Ability to manage time effectively to ensure on-time delivery is critical.Communication : Clear and effective communication with dispatchers, clients and other personnel is necessaryRegulatory Knowledge : A thorough understanding of traffic laws, safety regulations, and electronic logging devices (ELDs) is mandatory.Load Securement : Knowing how to properly and safely secure a load is a fundamental skill.Problem Solving : The ability to reason, solve problems, and react appropriately to unexpected situations is key.Joining Wieland's team gives you
