Required Skills & Experience :
Possess interpersonal communication and negotiation skills.Possess analytical, data management and PC skills.Organizational and time management skills, as evidenced by capacity to prioritize multiple tasks and role components with minimal supervision.Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment in interactions with physicians, payors, and patients and their families.Preferred Skills & Experience :
Minimum of three years RN clinical experience, preferred.Current working knowledge of discharge planning, utilization management, case management, performance improvement and managed care reimbursement, preferred.Required Education :
Bachelors of Science in Nursing, required.Required Certification & Licensure :
Current and valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan.REQUIRED :
Minimum 5 years acute inpatient case management experience with experience in acute discharge planning.BLS certification through AHAPrevious experience using CarePort system.Candidates with previous experience charting in AllScriptsMust be willing and able to be on the floor with patients and who can acclimate very quickly.GEMS / Sunrise are preferred.
