Qualified Mental Health Professional-School Based Counselor - GENESEO

Overview

Shift :   Monday-Friday; 7 : 30 AM - 4 : 00 PM

Location :   Geneseo, IL

Under the general supervision of the Manager of Robert Young Center (RYC) for Clinical Mental Health Outpatient Services, this individual will provide mental health assessments, therapeutic intervention, and consultation to individuals that are served by the agency. This individual will be responsible for intake assessments, creating treatment plans and identifying treatment modalities, reviewing and updating the plan of care per state and accreditation guidelines, and may complete crisis evaluations as needed. This individual will carry a caseload made up of individual therapy clients and may include family therapy at times.

Qualifications

Education :

Master’s degree in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy or a related field.

License(s) / Certification(s) :

Valid Driver’s License

Experience :

Completion of appropriate internship and / or practicum program for Master’s level degree.

Previous experience providing individual, family and group therapy to children, adolescents, adults and caregivers / guardians is preferred.
