What You'll Do :
As our Water Resources Lead, you'll play a pivotal role in every stage of a project, from initial concept to successful completion. Your responsibilities will include :
- Leading Projects : Directing and managing a variety of water resources projects, including hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) modeling and analysis, flood hazard identification, quantification, and mitigation, FEMA Risk MAP studies, and Area Drainage Master Planning (ADMP) and Studies (ADMS).
- Driving Design : Overseeing storm drainage and stream restoration / stabilization design, ensuring high-quality and effective solutions.
- Mentoring and Developing Talent : Supervising, developing, and mentoring our talented engineering staff, fostering their growth and expertise.
- Ensuring Quality : Reviewing engineering calculations, preparing design reports and exhibits, and conducting thorough quality control reviews of 1D and 2D computer models and floodplain mapping.
- Strategic Growth : Actively participating in business development, client marketing, and project development to expand our footprint.
- Client Engagement : Developing strong client relationships, crafting scopes of work, preparing cost proposals, and negotiating contracts.
- Project Management : Effectively managing project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation to ensure successful and timely delivery.

Requirements :
Education : A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.Licensure : A valid Arizona Professional Engineer's (PE) license.Certifications : Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) is highly preferred, or the ability to obtain it within 6 months of hire.Technical Acumen : Proven experience in the application of hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, with knowledge in FLO-2D being a plus.Leadership & Management : Demonstrated experience in employee supervision, development, and mentoring, with the ability to plan, organize, supervise, and coordinate technical work.Client Focus : Exceptional client service skills or the ability to develop them, consistently satisfying client needs.Communication : Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including active listening.Why Join Us?
