Join our dynamic Viasat Government group as a Network Solutions Engineer! In this pivotal role, you'll help design, maintain, and modernize a global satellite communications system that is critical to our operations. You will work both in lab and production environments, focusing on updating hardware, and software—ensuring the seamless operation of our network. Your responsibilities will include auditing equipment health, troubleshooting issues, managing parts replacement, and addressing IA vulnerabilities. As you modernize datacenter racks, you'll collaborate with vendors to secure quotes for new equipment. There may also be opportunities for you to travel for new deployments and maintenance activities.

Responsibilities :

• Design, install, and troubleshoot LANs and WANs with IPSEC tunnels across all OSI stack layers.
• Configure, test, and patch modern network routers, switches, and firewalls using Cisco, Fortinet, and Palo Alto technology.
• Manage maintenance of datacenter rack equipment including servers, networking gear, RF equipment, and associated cabling.
• Participate in the design, testing, and deployment of end-of-life replacement devices for a global communications network.
• Support engineering efforts aimed at overcoming IA challenges related to network devices and software.
