Job Description
Oppenheimer’s Private Client group is a full service financial services firm with an emphasis on providing premier financial advice and guidance to the local marketplace.
The primary responsibility of the Sales Assistant is to support Financial Advisors in sales, marketing, and day-to-day operations of a growing wealth management practice.
Key Responsibilities :
- Prioritize daily work, track progress of projects and deadlines, answer phones, and schedule appointments
- Maintain marketing materials and documents
- Coordinate travel arrangements and prepare expense reports
- Master general concepts of various accounts in order to answer day-to-day questions from advisors
- Develop knowledge of forms and account procedures in order to assist in opening new accounts
- Demonstrate initiative and desire to increase knowledge of rules, regulations, and concepts
- Learn to utilize research and technical support tools
- Produce quality analytical reports using various tools and software programs
- Promote firm products and services by enhancing relationships with advisors through timely and accurate responses to questions, and acting with integrity and respect in all situations
Qualifications :
2-5 years of experience working as a sales assistant in a corporate environment; experience in the financial services industry is a plusFluent in English and Spanish preferredSecurities licenses preferredDemonstrate strong accuracy and thoroughness in all facets of daily workMust be a team player with an energetic, positive, and proactive dispositionMust be able to maintain the highest level of confidentialityDemonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks with little or no supervisionAble to meet designated deadlines, have strong organizational skills, and work effectively in a pressurized environmentAble to interface and articulate well with all levels of employees and clients in a highly professional and friendly mannerPossess a high degree of proficiency with MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
