Community Options, Inc. is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 12 states.
We are now hiring an Allied Clinical Therapist located in Hamilton, NJ . The Allied Clinical Therapist will provide individualized support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Allied Clinical Therapist is responsible for providing clinical support services to clients with disabilities, collaborating with other professionals, and maintaining accurate documentation. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating treatment interventions.
Starting Salary : $ 50,000
Responsibilities :
- Conduct individual therapy sessions for clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on patient assessments, with goals and objectives that are measurable, realistic, and achievable
- Monitor and assess client progress throughout treatment and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Collaborate with other professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and case managers, to provide comprehensive care to clients
- Assist patients in developing social, communication, and life skills
- Provide support and education to clients and their families regarding the diagnosis, treatment and management of intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client progress and treatment plans
- Attend team meetings and participate in case conferences to discuss client progress and treatment plans
- Remain current regarding best practices and evidence-based interventions for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Provide crisis intervention as needed
- Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned
Minimum Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as psychology, social work, or counselingValid driver's license with a satisfactory driving recordAt least one year of experience providing clinical support services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilitiesStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to establish a comfortable and supportive relationship with individuals receiving supportAbility to exercise good judgment and remain calm in crisis situationsKnowledge of evidence-based interventions for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilitiesExcellent time management skillsEmployees must cooperate with the licensee and department staff in any inspection, inquiry or investigationWhy Community Options?
