The Peer Support Specialist (PSS) is a person with lived experience in recovery from mental health and / or substance use challenges who uses that experience to support others in their own recovery journey. As a vital part of the treatment team, the PSS offers hope, empathy, and encouragement to individuals receiving behavioral health services. This role focuses on mentoring, advocacy, empowerment, and recovery education in both group and one-on-one settings.
Any offer of employment is conditional pending the successful completion of background checks and health clearance (drug test, pre-employment physical, and TB screening).
