Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN with at least 2 years of ED experience and required critical care certifications for a night shift assignment.
Responsibilities
Position is in an acute care hospital emergency department settingUnit includes 33 beds with 2 trauma bays and 5 psych / seclusion roomsPatient volume averages 125-140 per day, including stroke, STEMI, trauma, and ACS casesNurse-to-patient ratios are typically 3-4 : 1ED utilizes Epic EMR for chartingShift schedule is 12-hour night shifts from 6 : 00 p.m. to 6 : 30 a.m., every other weekend requiredTravelers may be required to float to other facilities within Region Two if neededVents supported and common emergency procedures performedCare for diverse emergency cases including trauma, stroke, and acute cardiac syndromesSupport from 24 / 7 charge nurse, security, and ED techniciansIV and RT teams available 24 / 7, pharmacy support available from 7 a.m. to 3 a.m.One-day unit-specific orientation providedMust wear navy blue scrubsOccasional holiday coverage may be requiredCandidates may not have worked as full time, part time, or PRN with any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past yearFirst-time travelers to this facility will not be consideredRequirements
Active WA or compact RN license required at time of considerationMinimum of 2 years recent Emergency Department RN experience requiredCompletion of at least one previous travel assignment requiredCurrent certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS requiredCOVID-19 vaccination requiredEpic EMR experience requiredMust provide a copy of driver’s licenseReferences must include one supervisor reference from the past 12 months and one peer or supervisor reference from the past 3 yearsBenefits
